Artist Statement (Tree Spirits):
Tree spirits are embedded in the folklore of many different cultures throughout the world. The spirits captured in these images were found in Valtellina, Italy. While some were not bashful about revealing their presence, others had to be coaxed to show themselves.

This series of photographs was taken in 2019.
